Recently went here with my family. Entering in the restaurant suddenly transport me to a traditional restaurant in ancient China. We have ordered their famous Chinese Cuisine dish such as roasted Pekin duck, Shell-less king prawn Mango Mayo with fresh fruits, Cantonese Fried Flat Rice Noodle with Fresh water Prawn Gravy, Supreme XO fried rice with Scallop and Endamame. The skin of the roasted Pekin Duck is crunchy and the meat is tender. The King prawn meat is thick and succulent. The Cantonese Fried Flat Rice Noodle and Supreme XO fried rice is very flavorful. The restaurant is air conditioned and clean. Service is decent. The price is on the premium end. If you wish to celebrate a special occasion, you can dine in this restaurant.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Asian Tavern, a new Chinese restaurant in Mont Kiara—and it was easily one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had in a while. The warm, elegant atmosphere sets the tone, but the real highlight is the incredible food and top-tier service. Pork with Sea Cucumber Rich, tender pork meets silky, luxurious sea cucumber in a dish that’s comforting yet refined. The flavors are perfectly balanced and incredibly satisfying. XO Fried Rice Noodles with Giant Scallops Wok-tossed to smoky perfection, this dish features generous portions of sea-caught scallops that are sweet, juicy, and meaty. The freshness is unmatched—you can really taste the difference. Grilled Duck Dishes Whether roasted or grilled, every duck dish is a masterpiece. Crispy skin, juicy meat, and deep, well-rounded flavors make these an absolute must-try. The seafood at Asian Tavern is sea-caught, not farmed, which makes a noticeable difference in freshness and natural flavor. Every dish is made with top-quality ingredients, from premium cuts of meat to exceptionally fresh seafood. The flavors are bold and beautifully balanced, with each plate crafted with clear attention to detail. Presentation is elegant, enhancing the overall dining experience, and the service is truly impeccable—attentive, professional, and warm. The desserts there are also one of a kind, different blends of unique flavours! Truly delicious! The restaurant is an outstanding new addition to the Mont Kiara food scene. Whether you’re craving bold, traditional Chinese flavors or looking to indulge in something more elevated, this place delivers across the board. With delicious food, fresh sea-caught seafood, and impeccable service, it’s definitely a spot worth revisiting—I’ll be back soon, with friends!

Decided to give this place a try after watching a review video about the restaurant. Parking was relatively easy, as it’s located within a compound shared with a few other restaurants, which have an open carpark. As soon as we arrived, we noticed groups of people taking pictures — all very Instagram-worthy. We didn’t make any reservation, but we were given a table due to a last-minute cancellation. I would give this place credit for its interior design, which has a classic Chinese ambience. The menu is cute too, designed like a martial arts scroll. They have a few signature dishes, which we didn’t order as we preferred smaller portions with more variety. Overall, the food was good. I particularly liked their salted baked chicken with coriander and the appetiser (cod fish mango salad). Their Iberico dong po belly with sea cucumber and the braised spinach stir-fried with garlic were average. They also have private rooms upstairs, which are a good option for personal events. Service was definitely good — the staff were attentive and introduced some of the dishes to us. Overall, we ordered a bit too much, but the food was good and the service was excellent. Will definitely be back to try their signature dishes and their lunch menu.
